Sharps Containment’s 1 litre sharps container is available for those applications where only modest syringe disposal capacity is required coupled with high value (in terms of dollars per litre waste). The compact design provides an exceptionally small footprint where bench space is at a premium and the wall bracket accessory (optional) provides even better space utilization.
The extra heavy duty plastic moulding provides very high needle penetration resistance to prevent puncture and needle stick injury yet provides minimum weight to ensure that incineration costs are kept to a minimum. The container conforms AS4031-92.
A 63mm wadded screw top closure provides secure sealing and at the same time this wide mouth makes for ease of use with minimum spillage.
The size of the container makes it ideal for vehicle applications such as mobile work crews, ambulances, fire trucks, etc. The mounting bracket accessory (purchased separately) provides for secure bulkhead mounting to minimize movement in the cab or crew space.
