Sharps Containment’s 1 litre Wall-Safe is the smallest in our range and is designed specifically for the lower volume locations where injecting drug users (IDU’S) may infrequently require a safe and secure place to dispose of syringes without danger to the general public.

CONSTRUCTION
A solid steel cylindrival body ensures rigidity and security against vandals. A 25mm top chute permits entry of 1ml syringes commonly found in the IDU community. Will not accept 5ml or larger syringes but if necessary will accept 2.5ml syringes. Talk to Sharps Containment for details of heavy-duty models and special applications. A easily, safely and quickly removed for service without spilling contents. A full kit of mounting parts suitable for most situations is supplied.

SECURITY
A very robust special security fitting locks the cartridge in place. The authorized servicing agent* should be supplied with the appropriate security tool. This minimizes the possibility of unauthorized access.

*SERVICING
As with all sharps disposal, a registered EPA biological waste agent is required to dispose of this waste.

 HOW TO UNDO THE 1L WALL-SAFE
The 1 litre wall-safe is designed to provide a high level of security against “break-ins”.

The cross-bolt which holds the cartridge and (spare) lid inside the steel tube body is tightened by a special pin-drive nut. The nut itself is seated insid a steel shroud tube to prevent unauthorized access by pliers/grips. This arrangement avoids all the problems associated with vandalism such as ordinary locks contaminated with super glue.
To slacken the security nut the authorized service officer must possess a special tool. A selection of two tools is available from Sharps Containment.

DRIVER BIT (BIT00100) is a 1/4″ hex. drive tool bit which fits all standard 1/4″ hex. drive handles.
